About the Role

Great Question is looking for an AI-native Engineering Intern to work directly with the CTO on real-world AI projects that ship to production users.

This is not a side-project internship. You'll own a meaningful project from day one, build production-grade AI systems, and work on cutting-edge problems involving agents, retrieval systems, semantic search, and AI evaluation frameworks.

What You'll Work On

• Build and improve AI agents and LLM-powered workflows
• Work on semantic search and retrieval systems
• Develop agentic AI applications and orchestration pipelines
• Improve prompt engineering, tool calling, and MCP workflows
• Design evaluation frameworks and quality measurement systems
• Ship production-ready code and collaborate with the engineering team on architecture and reviews

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or Ruby
• Experience building AI projects beyond tutorials
• Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, RAG, or prompt engineering
• Comfortable with Git, testing, and shipping software
• Strong problem-solving and self-learning ability
• Portfolio, GitHub repositories, or side projects demonstrating AI work
