As an Application Security Intern, you'll contribute to building secure products while learning from one of the industry's leading security teams.

About the Role

Rubrik is looking for passionate Application Security Interns to join its Security Engineering team. You'll work on real-world application security challenges, improve secure software development processes, build automation tools, and collaborate with engineering teams to strengthen product security.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams in reproducing, triaging, and resolving application security vulnerabilities.
• Develop tools and automation to enhance Rubrik's Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
• Build solutions to improve security workflows and team efficiency.
• Support the development of application security dashboards and reporting metrics.
• Collaborate with Application Security Engineers to define security best practices and documentation.
• Work with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to improve product security.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Graduating in 2027.
• Available for a full-time 12-week internship.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.

Preferred Skills

• Programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, C/C++, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Understanding of application security concepts and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and modern development workflows.
• Previous software engineering experience through internships, projects, coding competitions, or research.
