📌 Job Description – Business Analyst


HSBC is seeking detail-oriented and analytical Business Analysts to support business transformation, digital initiatives, and data-driven decision-making across banking operations. The role involves gathering business requirements, analyzing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful financial solutions.


🔎 Key Responsibilities


• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders

• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories

• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement areas

• Work closely with product managers, developers, and operations teams

• Support digital banking, process automation, and system enhancement projects

• Create business process models, workflow diagrams, and reports

• Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), quality checks, and implementation

• Monitor project progress, timelines, and deliverables

• Prepare presentations, dashboards, and business insights for leadership

• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies


🧠 Skills & Requirements


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Basic understanding of business analysis frameworks & SDLC

• Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, or data visualization tools (preferred)

• Good communication & stakeholder management abilities

• Understanding of banking/financial services is a plus

• Ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights

• Attention to detail and documentation skills

• Team collaboration and adaptability in a fast-paced environment


🌟 Preferred Qualifications


• Certifications like ECBA, CBAP, Agile, Scrum (optional but beneficial)

• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau (good to have)

• Exposure to fintech, digital banking, or financial analytics
