Role Description:

The Cyber Investigation & Intelligence Intern role at Vyrosec is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanpur. The intern will receive structured training and practical exposure to cyber investigation, OSINT, digital investigation, social media intelligence, threat intelligence, IP and infrastructure intelligence, digital forensics, and cybersecurity assessments. Responsibilities will gradually include assisting with research and investigation tasks, organizing digital information and evidence, supporting case documentation, preparing basic reports, and working on supervised practical assignments. Candidates will be trained in the tools, methodologies, and workflows required for the role.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computers and Operating Systems.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux.
• Foundational understanding of networking, TCP/IP, IP addresses, ports, and protocols.
• Basic understanding of the OSI Model.
• Basic understanding of DNS and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
• Strong curiosity, analytical thinking, and willingness to learn.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to research, understand new concepts, and work independently when required.
• Pursuing or completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
• Prior experience in OSINT, threat intelligence, IP investigation, Nmap, or digital forensics is not required; training will be provided.
• Willingness to work on-site, 6 days a week, with training conducted on alternate days.
