Mercure Hotel Gomti Nagar

is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering team. You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and operational efficiency of all hotel equipment and facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless and safe experience for our guests while maintaining the high standards of the Accor brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Maintenance: Assist the Duty Engineer and team members in the maintenance and care of all hotel equipment to meet established quality standards.
  • Equipment Control: Regularly check and handle all equipment properly to ensure peak performance and longevity.
  • Technical Operations: Set up and operate machinery such as drill presses, lathes, millers, shapers, and grinders to shape or repair metal components (steel, bronze, brass, etc.).
  • Facility Systems: Take responsibility for the performance and maintenance of heating boilers and other major facilities.
  • Inter-departmental Coordination: Establish seamless cooperation with all departments to ensure maximum productivity, morale, and guest service.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to hotel policies, procedures, and safety practices in all aspects of the job.
  • Reporting: Complete necessary work orders, reports, and accounts of all materials used in an efficient manner.
  • Team Support: Provide effective support to the team and assist other departmental personnel as needed to resolve issues promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Must hold a Diploma, Degree, ITI, or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of experience in an engineering role specifically with branded hotels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using maintenance tools and industrial machinery (Lathe, Millers, Grinders).
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Professionalism: Strong alignment with the company’s mission statement and a proactive approach to reporting matters affecting hotel interests.
