About the Role

AlgoUniversity is looking for highly skilled competitive programmers to join as Problem Setting Interns.

In this role, you'll create and test coding challenges, contribute to programming contests, and help thousands of students improve their problem-solving skills. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about competitive programming, algorithms, and technical interviewing.

What You'll Do

  • Create high-quality coding and algorithmic problems
  • Test and validate problem statements, solutions, and test cases
  • Administer coding contests organized by AlgoUniversity
  • Resolve participant doubts during live contests
  • Contribute to improving the competitive programming experience for students
  • Work closely with the founding team on contest and content initiatives

Requirements

  • Strong competitive programming background
  • Proficiency in C, C++, or Java
  • Excellent problem-solving and algorithmic thinking skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to explain solutions clearly and accurately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Codeforces rating of 1800+ (preferred)
  • Experience participating in competitive programming contests
  • Prior experience writing programming blogs, editorials, or technical content
  • Experience as a contest administrator or moderator
  • Familiarity with Polygon or similar problem-setting platforms
