2. Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Facilitate the hiring, training, and mentoring of Business Development Associates (BDAs) on assortment and professional sales calls.
  • Sales Strategy: Implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve sustained growth across focused sub-segments, including HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafes), Army stores, and religious institutions.
  • Relationship Management: Develop strong business solutions and relationships with top members to increase ticket sizes and transaction frequency.
  • Operational Coordination: Collaborate with Merchandising, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure products are available at competitive prices and member services are optimized.
  • Field Monitoring: Ensure systematic field working of the team by implementing and monitoring effective beat plans.
  • Financial Solutions: Educate members on payment solutions, including electronic transfers, debit cards, and private label credit cards.
  • Market Feedback: Provide real-time feedback to merchants regarding market operating prices and required assortments based on member needs.

3. Eligibility & Required Skills

  • Mandatory Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Preferred Background: Experience with major retail/wholesale players such as METRO, CARREFOUR, or as a Key Account Manager (KAM).
  • Client Expertise: Previous experience handling HORECA and O&I (Office & Institutional) clients is highly desirable.
  • Core Skills: Proven track record in sales management, team training, relationship building, and providing complex business solutions.
  • Functional Knowledge: Familiarity with payment solutions, logistics/delivery coordination, and CRM-based field monitoring.
